I just bought Battlefield 2 (I know, kinda late), and it locks up when I ask Norton Firewall to let it access the internet. I have BF 2 v1.3 update and I installed it, and I manually configured my firewall to allow it on all ports. What I don't get is why the Singleplayer (and the whole game itself) locks up with my firewall? Any ideas?Battlefield 2?
first of all.... before you play the game you need to press
Ctrl + Alt + Delete...then, under processes click "user name"...then, end every procsses with your name or user name(it may just say user), exept
taskmgr.exe
or
explorer.exeBattlefield 2?
noBattlefield 2?
Have you disabled the firewall and see if it works?
I would delete norton all together...
download Avast and get SpySweeper
BF2 gives lots of people problems with their firewall software... if you want a really good firewall just go with a linksys router.. for now the easist fix would be to just close your firewall while playing bf2...
