Also your pc only comes with 512mb of ram as standard, so you will be wanting at least another 512mb, but you would be better off with more especially if you are running vista or 7.

Honestly get Bad Company 2 or Reach both are actually new and not a carbon copy of the previous games like the COD series. I love COD but all you do is multiplayer, which is filled with little trolls and hacks and grenade launchers, at least the other two have more interesting stories and require more skill and not having a rocket launcher kill you every minute.
Fyi I plan to get all three and MOH which will be better than Black Ops

if your going for multiplayer, then i would choose bad company 2. now most people would say that reach's multiplayer is uperior but ive never rele thought that 15 or so spartans bouncing around a map together emptying their clips into each other then trying to punch each other isnt very appealing, please dont hate me for that. now as i dont have black ops i cant really say anything about but i do have the other 2 games. as far as story goes, yes i do think that halo reach's campaign is best, but it lacks a lot of stealth, which black ops has plenty have. bad company 2's campaign is a love or hate story mode and you just have to take it right. my conclusion :bad company 2 for multiplayer, reach for campaign without stealth, black ops for campaign with stealth. it all depends on what you prefer. i hope this helps.What game should i get halo reach,black ops ,or battlefield 2?
In my opinion get battlefield, its actually only $32 used and you could always pre-order black-ops and just try and get some extra money to pay the rest off when it comes out. Honestly get Bad Company 2 or Reach both are actually new and not a carbon copy of the previous games like the COD series. I love COD but all you do is multiplayer, which is filled with little trolls and hacks and grenade launchers, at least the other two have more interesting stories and require more skill and not having a rocket launcher kill you every minute.
Fyi I plan to get all three and MOH which will be better than Black Ops

if your going for multiplayer, then i would choose bad company 2. now most people would say that reach's multiplayer is uperior but ive never rele thought that 15 or so spartans bouncing around a map together emptying their clips into each other then trying to punch each other isnt very appealing, please dont hate me for that. now as i dont have black ops i cant really say anything about but i do have the other 2 games. as far as story goes, yes i do think that halo reach's campaign is best, but it lacks a lot of stealth, which black ops has plenty have. bad company 2's campaign is a love or hate story mode and you just have to take it right. my conclusion :bad company 2 for multiplayer, reach for campaign without stealth, black ops for campaign with stealth. it all depends on what you prefer. i hope this helps.What game should i get halo reach,black ops ,or battlefield 2?
In my opinion get battlefield, its actually only $32 used and you could always pre-order black-ops and just try and get some extra money to pay the rest off when it comes out. BFBC2 is fun because the multiplayer games last just long enough and dont end in ten minutes like a lot of other games and there are vehicles like helicopters and stuff...

How do I beat the level where you have to defuse 3 bombs on battlefield 2 modern combat?

I just today got Battlefield 2 for my PC, after i installed it. I was prompted to create an account, but everytime I create on it just closes the programme and takes me to the desktop, no error message or anything of that nature. No there isn't a stroryline, but there is a kinda campaign. You'll get to choose from different maps, which is your quick match, where you can fight against other countries like china or pakistan, and you're the US allied forces. You can't really unlock a small map into a bigger map as there are boundaries where, if you enter, you will die. But if you use some specific cheat you can go into those boundaries but there isn't really anything there.BattleField 2?

It depends on what bit your looking to change. If its the name you have the account setup for at the start of the game (you know when the profiles are loaded) then the only way to change it is to create a new account and user profile on BF2.
You can setup different accounts under the same game and it won't affect online play. I know this as I have two accounts for my BF2 disk. As far as I'm aware this is the only way you can change your name.

Yeah I think the only way is to make a new account for Battlefield 2.
It depends on what bit your looking to change. If its the name you have the account setup for at the start of the game (you know when the profiles are loaded) then the only way to change it is to create a new account and user profile on BF2.
You can setup different accounts under the same game and it won't affect online play. I know this as I have two accounts for my BF2 disk. As far as I'm aware this is the only way you can change your name.

I have a toshiba a135 s4527 and i have been trying to play battlefield 2 on it, i have all of the requirements, it installed but everytime i try to start it up the battlefield sign comes up and it goes off and then a black screen appears like it is going to work, but then that black screen goes off to and nothing happens. Battlefield 2?
I just bought Battlefield 2 (I know, kinda late), and it locks up when I ask Norton Firewall to let it access the internet. I have BF 2 v1.3 update and I installed it, and I manually configured my firewall to allow it on all ports. What I don't get is why the Singleplayer (and the whole game itself) locks up with my firewall? Any ideas?Battlefield 2?

if you find the program icon ( no short cuts) it can either be found in program files and find it there or on the start menu.
1) right click the icon
2) properties
3) Compatiablity
4) select XP.
5) Apply these settings.
if you dont have Vista and you have XP installed its very rare to see XP giving a fault like that.
but if you have vista give that a shot, see if it works :).
if it doesnt just re undo the settings

You need a Ethernet cable. You plug one end into the network adapter, you plug the other end into a Cable modem. Then just put the start up disc in and follow the instructions.

I don't own BF2 but I believe I might be able to help you. Before you do any of the changes I'm about to give you I strongly recommend you back up any file.
Go to your BF2 install directory (It's probably something like C:/Program Files/EA Games/Battlefield2/) and once in there find the "Movies" folder.
In this folder you should find the following three files:
-EA.bik
-dice.bik
-nvidia_logo.bik
Copy %26amp; paste these files and change their name to include "_backup" (just so you don't lose these). Once this is done create three new text files (Right Click %26gt; New %26gt; Text Document) and rename them exactly like the old files. So now your folder should contain the following files:
-EA.bik (one of the text documents)
-dice.bik (one of the text documents)
-nvidia_logo.bik (one of the text documents)
-EA_backup.bik

I did have to set the resolution at 1280x720 for smoother gameplay instead of the full 1366x768. I bought a Dell 1564 with an i3 intel 2.13, 4GB RAM and 512mb ATI as a quick replacement laptop when my Alienware's motherboard burned, apparently from overheating. Anyways, a friend lent me both Assasin's Creed 2 and Modern Warfare 2, which we tested with full textures and effects. I did have to set the resolution at 1280x720 for smoother gameplay instead of the full 1366x768. I preferred the slightly smaller 1280x720 with full effects, rather than full resolution in 'normal' settings. I really bought it for work, but I am happier with it than the AW.

I would say Bad Company 2, the campaign is good and the online has longevity to it.
I haven't played Lost Planet 2 so I can't help with that one. I play Bad Company 2 quite regularly, though. The single player campaign is good and a decent length, though not huge. The online multiplayer is competitive but not as frustrating as some games, and the size of the maps/teams allows for some thought and strategy, as well as giving you the chance to vary how you play. If you find yourself with a talkative squad (as I did only a couple of days ago), it's enormous fun. Even without that, I consider it very good.
Graphically, the environments are detailed and largely quite impressive, though the desert ones less so. The character models are fine, but not as well animated as in some games. The sound, which is something I don't usually notice, is outstanding. At one point in the campaign I fired a shot from a sniper rifle into a kind of canyon area, and the sound echoed quite impressively.

Better maps, better wepons , better everything, unfortunatly we were dissapointed in black ops the campain was fun but multiplayer is lacking in excitment(campers are rampant) often the system has a hard time finding a game which is ridiculous because everyone pretty much is playing that game, and the maps are really small.hope that helps!

How do I fix this custom map error on Battlefield 2?
I have installed Battlefield 2 on my computer, and it is working fine. However, I have just downloaded sever custom maps, and though installed correctly, I just can't play them on single player. As soon as I click 'Join Game', the game just closes down. Many other people have had the same problem as me, but they have solved it by changing the graphics settings to high or medium. I have tried this several times, but whatever I do, they just wont load.How do I fix this custom map error on Battlefield 2?
Try going into your Battlefield 2 folder and deleting the specific maps then launching the game and re downloading from there. It sounds like a bug in your map file, not a problem with your graphic settings.

So far I'm finding the map designs are very detailed and open, they also seem to be almost too big at times for how few transport vehicles are available (but that's just my personal thought) The weapons and gadgets are still set as unlockables so people that have played more generally have much better equipment and therefore an advantage. The only other thing I'm having trouble getting used to is that the game loads out of a browser rather then opening a game and going from there. I just find it can make it tedious to sit there waiting for a game to load over and over again depending on how many disconnections you get (getting better but at the start it was bad).fun girl games

And RAM is super important. I have 2GB of good quality RAM. So, its not just the videocard, but the total system that you need. Especially the cpu, ram, and videocard setup. Lag in terms of connection issues have nothing to do with your computer, perhaps your connection isn't fast enough for online game or it may just be you end up on poor servers.

Nelson bay is so cool in the dark, I would have to say that is my favorite.
i would say Isla Innocentes (idk if thats spelled right)
I would go for the throw back maps of Harvest Day and Oasis These maps where great in the first bad company and where good int he second. but I wish the brought back more throw back maps I would have liked to play par of the course or crossin over on bbc2 also a 1942 throw back of wake island

its been awhile but in the bottom left or right after you start it up on the main screen there is a version number i think, baring that I remember there being a xxx.xxx FULL patch that didn't matter what version you were running, this is off the top of my head though sorry.

What is the criteria for getting rank and promotions in Battlefield 2?
I've had Battlefield 2 for quite awhile now, but I just recently made an online account and I'm eager to get awards and promotions; however, my BFHQ isn't recording my time or awards. It states that I last played my account they day I made it over a month ago, but I have been playing online ever since. I know that in order to get awards you need to play on ranked servers and I have gotten awards in-game (such as airborne and spec ops awards), but they're not being recorded.
